CLINTON, Md. — A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Prince George’s County, Maryland Lottery officials announced Tuesday.
The third-tier winning ticket was purchased at Tucker’s Liquors, located at 8100 Old Alexandria Ferry Road. It was one of the winning tickets from Monday’s drawing, which had the numbers 8, 9, 11, 27, 31, and Powerball 17.
This marks the 40th third-tier Powerball winner in Maryland this year. No ticket matched all six numbers, allowing the jackpot to roll to an estimated $176 million for Wednesday’s drawing.
Lottery officials recommend that all winners sign their tickets and store them in a secure location. Tickets must be claimed within 182 days of the drawing date.
