The NYPD is looking for help identifying a man involved in an incident of public lewdness that occurred on a northbound “5” train in Manhattan.
The disturbing event took place on the morning of Tuesday, September 3, 2024, around 8:19 a.m., when a 33-year-old woman noticed a man exposing himself and engaging in inappropriate behavior while riding the subway near the Grand Central station.
The man, who managed to leave the train without being caught, is described as having a medium build and medium complexion. He was last seen rocking a black du-rag, a blue surgical mask, and a flashy outfit that included a multi-colored T-shirt and shorts. He was also carrying a black backpack.
Thankfully, no one was physically harmed, but the NYPD is urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward. If you know anything or think you might recognize the description, please contact authorities.
