GREENWOOD, Del. — Delaware State Police have arrested a Greenwood man on multiple gun and drug charges following a traffic stop in Bridgeville.
Troopers pulled over Akeem Frazier, 33, on Tuesday morning after observing a registration violation on his Jeep Compass. The stop occurred on Coverdale Road near Mill Park Drive at around 10:25 a.m. Frazier, who was reportedly nervous and hesitant to exit the vehicle, did not provide his driver’s license during the initial interaction.
During the stop, troopers noticed a gun handle protruding from under the driver’s seat. A subsequent search of the vehicle and Frazier led to the discovery of a loaded .45 caliber handgun, along with heroin, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
Frazier was taken into custody and transported to Troop 5. He was later arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $50,803 cash bond.
