GARFIELD, N.J. — A 24-year-old woman faces multiple charges after hitting a parked car and a pedestrian while attempting to flee the scene of the initial crash on Monday, authorities said.
Ashley Elizabeth Ann Flores was charged with second-degree aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury, assault by auto, and several motor vehicle-related offenses, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
The incident occurred at 10:20 p.m. on Outwater Lane near Wilson Street. Flores first struck an unoccupied vehicle and then, while attempting to flee, hit a man, pinning him between her vehicle and the parked car, officials said.
The victim remains hospitalized in stable condition. Flores, who was treated for her own injuries, was arrested on Tuesday and is being held at the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing.
