UTICA, NEW YORK — The Utica Police Department announced the promotion of three officers during a ceremony held on Friday, August 23. The promotions include Lieutenant Howard Brodt, who has been elevated to the rank of Captain, Sergeant Charles Parkosewich, who has been promoted to Lieutenant, and Police Officer Aaron Llewellyn, who has advanced to the rank of Sergeant.
The promotions were recognized by Chief of Police Mark Williams, who expressed his gratitude to Mayor Michael Galime and the members of the Common Council for their ongoing support of the Utica Police Department.
“These promotions reflect the dedication and hard work of our officers, as well as the support from their families,” Chief Williams said during the event. The department extended its congratulations to the promoted officers and acknowledged the important role their families play in their success.
