STAFFORD, Va. — Several roads in the Hartwood area of Stafford County have been blocked by downed trees following a severe storm, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities issued a traffic alert on Friday, advising residents to use caution if travel is necessary.
The affected roadways include Tacketts Mill Road, Spotted Tavern Road, and Hartwood Road, where trees have been reported down, obstructing traffic. Additionally, Cropp Road and Stefaniga Road are also impacted by downed trees, further complicating travel in the area.
The Sheriff’s Office urged drivers to exercise caution while navigating these areas as crews work to clear the debris. “Please use caution as the storm passes through the area,” the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office advised in a statement.
Local authorities are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as roads are cleared and conditions improve. Residents are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel until the roads are safe.
