OLDMANS TWP., N.J. — NHL hockey player Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew Gaudreau, were tragically struck and killed by a vehicle while riding their bicycles in Salem County, New Jersey, on Thursday night. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Pennsville Auburn Road near Stumpy Lane in Oldmans Township.
According to the New Jersey State Police, the driver involved in the accident remained at the scene following the collision. Authorities have not yet released further details about the driver, though early reports indicate that the driver is suspected of being under the influence at the time of the incident.
Johnny Gaudreau, a native of New Jersey, was a prominent figure in the NHL, known for his exceptional skills on the ice. His brother, Matthew, was also well-known in the hockey community.
