JACKSON, N.J. — Jackson Township is set to celebrate its annual Jackson Day on Sunday, September 15, at Johnson Memorial Park. Organized by the Jackson Recreation Department, this year’s event promises a full day of festivities with various activities for all ages. Admission is free, making it a perfect opportunity for residents to come together for a day and night filled with fun and entertainment.
The event will kick off with various food vendors and a marketplace featuring merchandise and information booths. A motorcycle stunt show is set to thrill attendees, while a basketball shootout tournament will add a competitive edge to the day. A possible pickleball tournament is also on the schedule, offering something for sports enthusiasts.
A petting zoo will be available for families, and children can look forward to a host of amusements, including helicopter landings and opportunities for hot air balloon photos. Live music from local bands and a DJ will provide a festive atmosphere throughout the day.
As the evening approaches, a drone show is scheduled for 8:00 p.m., lighting up the sky in a display of modern technology. The day will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show, capping off the celebration in style.
“Mayor Michael Reina and the Township Council invite everyone to join us for this cherished Jackson Day tradition,” the Jackson Recreation Department said in a statement. “It’s a day to celebrate our community, enjoy great food and entertainment, and make lasting memories.”
In the event of rain, the celebration will be postponed to the following Sunday, September 22, 2024.
