GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Two men were arrested following a motor vehicle theft and subsequent assault that occurred in Glen Burnie on the afternoon of August 27, 2024.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle theft in the 7600 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. According to the investigation, a male suspect entered a 45-year-old man’s vehicle, a gold 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, which had been left unlocked and running. As the suspect drove away, the victim attempted to jump into the bed of the truck but fell and was dragged a short distance. The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
After driving off, the suspect picked up a second male accomplice. The suspects caused multiple accidents before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot. Officers, with the assistance of the police helicopter unit, conducted a search of the area and apprehended both suspects at the Cromwell Light Rail Station.
The suspects, identified as 38-year-old Thomas Stephan Culver of Baltimore, Maryland, and 38-year-old Michael Dennis Fuller Jr. of Windsor Mill, Baltimore, were arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to the theft and assault.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the suspects are being held pending further legal proceedings.
