WALL TWP, NJ – In an unsettling incident at a Target store in Wall Township, 20-year-old David I. Sutton from Lakewood was arrested on Tuesday, August 28, after allegedly invading a customer’s privacy in a shocking and invasive manner.
The situation escalated quickly, leading to charges of invasion of privacy, obstruction of the administration of justice, and harassment.
The drama unfolded at the Target on State Highway 35 when store management called the police, reporting that one of their own employees, Sutton, had been caught inappropriately using his cell phone. According to the investigation led by Patrolman Shane Roland, Sutton was spotted pointing his phone up a female customer’s skirt, prompting immediate concern and police involvement.
When officers arrived, Sutton attempted to flee, triggering a foot pursuit. However, Patrolman Roland and his team were able to apprehend him swiftly. The police processed Sutton and subsequently released him on a summons, but the legal troubles he faces are far from over.
