EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The Evesham Township Police Department, in collaboration with the Evesham School District and several local organizations, has successfully prepared over 160 backpacks to be distributed to families in need. The initiative, which took place on Monday, brought together community members and local businesses in a collective effort to support students as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
The backpacks were handed over to the Evesham Township School District, which will distribute them to families within the community. Among the contributors were Township Officials, Care One, Bratton Law, Complete Care, and the non-profit organization HUGS. The effort was further bolstered by donations from LaScala Fire and Ilkem Marble and Granite, which supplied the necessary school supplies to fill the backpacks.
“Today, we joined hands with Evesham School District, Township Officials, Care One, Bratton Law, Complete Care, and HUGS non-profit to put together over 160 backpacks for our community,” the Evesham Township Police Department said in a statement posted on Facebook.
