WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A 24-year-old man from Hazlet was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a single-car rollover crash on Saturday morning in Wall Township. The incident occurred at approximately 7:28 a.m. at the intersection of Brighton Avenue and Romano Boulevard.
According to the Wall Township Police Department, officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle that had overturned. The driver, identified as Brando Torsiello, and his front-seat passenger, a 25-year-old woman from Freehold, were trapped inside the vehicle. Emergency responders from the Glendola Fire Department were called to the scene to extricate both individuals from the wreckage.
Following the extrication, Torsiello and his passenger were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune by Wall Township and Belmar EMS. Both suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Patrolman Megan Alexander, who was the arresting officer, took Torsiello into custody at the scene on charges of driving while intoxicated. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
