PARSIPPANY, N.J. — The Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department, in collaboration with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on Route 46 West on Monday night. The incident took place near the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant at approximately 9:27 p.m. on August 19, 2024.
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and later pronounced deceased at Morristown Memorial Hospital. The vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Investigators are searching for a silver or grey Toyota Rav 4, model year 2019 through 2021, which is believed to be involved in the hit-and-run. The vehicle is likely missing a sideview mirror on the passenger side.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspect vehicle to come forward. The investigation is ongoing as law enforcement works to locate the vehicle and hold the responsible party accountable.
