WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A Woodbridge woman was arrested on Thursday evening, August 15, 2024, after leaving her two young children unattended at Veterans Park, located at 14300 Veterans Drive. The incident occurred around 8:42 p.m. when the woman asked an unknown man at the park’s skate area to watch her 7- and 8-year-old boys.
The man contacted the police after the woman did not return to the park for an extended period. Officers responded to the scene and began investigating the situation. While the investigation was ongoing, the woman, identified as Autumn Maree Foss Hale, 24, returned to the park and was detained by the police without incident.
The children were found to be unharmed and were released into the care of known parties. Following the investigation, Hale was arrested and charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Hale has been released on personal recognizance, and her court date is pending. The investigation remains ongoing.
