WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Authorities are searching for a man wanted in connection with a domestic-related stabbing that occurred early Monday morning, August 19, 2024. The incident took place at a residence in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue in Woodbridge.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 12:53 a.m. and found two victims: a 31-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man. According to the investigation, the suspect, identified as Valentino Cruz Reyes, entered the home without permission and confronted the male victim. During the encounter, Reyes allegedly threatened the man and brandished a machete-style knife.
Reyes is accused of striking the male victim multiple times with the knife, including in the face, before physically assaulting the female victim. After the altercation, the parties separated, and police were contacted.
The male victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, while the female victim reported minor injuries.
Authorities have obtained arrest warrants for Valentino Cruz Reyes, who remains at large. Reyes, 49, is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing around 220 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. He is currently of no fixed address.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Valentino Cruz Reyes to contact the Prince William County Police Department immediately. The investigation remains
