VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Virginia Beach Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Ferrell Parkway on Friday night.
Officers responded to the 5000 block of Ferrell Parkway at 9:02 p.m. on Aug. 16 after receiving reports of an accident involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival, police found two vehicles involved in the collision.
The motorcyclist, identified as 53-year-old Randall Gollihur, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, 35-year-old Brittany Harris, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (First Offense) and DUI Refusal.
“The incident is still under investigation and additional charges are anticipated,” the Virginia Beach Police Department said in a statement.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact the department’s Traffic Safety Unit or Crime Solvers.
