BRONX, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a series of burglaries at a construction site located near West 225th Street and Broadway in the Bronx. The incidents, which occurred on consecutive nights, resulted in the theft of over $14,000 worth of construction supplies.
Incident #1:
On Monday, August 5, 2024, at approximately 9:22 p.m., the suspect climbed a fence to gain access to the construction site. Once inside, the individual forcibly entered a trailer and stole approximately $7,300 worth of construction supplies before fleeing the scene on foot.
Incident #2:
The following night, Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., the same individual returned to the site, again climbing the fence and forcibly entering a trailer. This time, the suspect made off with approximately $7,200 worth of construction supplies before fleeing on foot.
No injuries were reported in either incident, and the suspect remains at large. The NYPD is actively investigating the burglaries and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible.
