BALTIMORE — A 26-year-old man was fatally shot on Sunday afternoon in Baltimore’s Eastern District, marking the latest in a series of violent incidents in the area.
Baltimore Police Department officers responded to a call reporting a shooting at approximately 4:11 p.m. on August 18, 2024. Upon arrival at the 1400 block of N. Decker Avenue, officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics were dispatched to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save his life, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No suspects have been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
