THURMONT, MD—Maryland State Troopers arrested 37-year-old Bryant Paradine of Littlestown, Pennsylvania, today on charges of attempted murder and other gun-related offenses following a road rage incident this morning.
The arrest occurred in Frederick County, and Paradine is currently awaiting an initial court appearance.
The confrontation took place shortly after 7:30 a.m. on southbound US15 at Tippin Drive, where shots were reportedly fired during the incident.
Although the victim’s vehicle was struck, the victim escaped unharmed. The Maryland State Police Crime Scene Unit responded, processed the scene, and recovered a projectile from the victim’s vehicle.
Following a 911 call from the victim, who described the suspect’s maroon Chevrolet SUV with Pennsylvania plates, a rapid alert was issued to area police. State Police investigators from the Criminal Enforcement Division subsequently located the suspect vehicle parked and unoccupied at a local business in Thurmont.
Paradine was found inside the business, leading to his arrest and the recovery of a loaded 9mm handgun and a spent shell casing from his vehicle, with support from the Thurmont Police Department.
