PHILADELPHIA, PA — A series of violent incidents occurred in Philadelphia across multiple districts early this morning.
In the 19th District, a 49-year-old man was stabbed at approximately 5:13 a.m. on Race Street. The victim sustained a stab wound to his right arm and was transported to Presbyterian Medical Center by emergency services.
He is currently in stable condition. Authorities have secured the scene, but no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Southwest Detective Division is seeking any information related to this incident.
A fatal auto-pedestrian crash was reported in the 25th District at around 3:42 a.m. on Front Street. A 24-year-old Black female, identified as Tahtiana Diggs of F Street, was struck by a gray pickup truck traveling southbound.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and Diggs was later pronounced dead at Temple Hospital at 4:23 a.m. The police are asking for any leads that could help locate the vehicle or driver involved in this hit-and-run.
In the 15th District, a 21-year-old man was shot at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Torresdale Avenue. The victim was hit in the back and was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. Police have secured the scene, but no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered.
