BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore woman’s love for Racetrax paid off in a big way when she won $30,737 after switching up her strategy.
The self-described Racetrax fan had been using her car’s license plate numbers for weeks, enjoying a streak of small wins. However, when her luck began to wane, she decided on August 5 to try a new set of numbers, inspired by a friend’s license plate. She placed a 20-game Superfecta wager with the numbers 7, 8, 4, and 9, then went home to wait for the results.
The surprise came when she checked the Lottery app at home and discovered her big win. Overjoyed, she rushed to share the news with her husband. The winning ticket was purchased at the Royal Farms store on Windsor Mill Road in Baltimore County, earning the retailer a $307.37 bonus for selling the lucky ticket.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous as “Lucky Racetrax Winner,” has found a new favorite set of Racetrax numbers and a new go-to Lottery retailer.
