WASHINGTON, D.C. – Authorities are turning to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent sexual abuse incident that disrupted the quiet of a Northwest neighborhood.
The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 12:40 a.m. The victim was walking home on the 2700 block of 29th Street, Northwest, when the suspect tackled her and made unwanted sexual contact before fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s to 30s, approximately 5’7” tall with a heavy build, wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
