DOVER, DE — The Dover Police Department has apprehended two local teens, Eugene Johnson, 18, and a 17-year-old male, for their alleged involvement in a shooting on July 28. Both suspects, from Dover, were identified through an extensive investigation which led to the issuance of arrest warrants.
The 17-year-old was taken into custody on Saturday at 8:40 AM without any incidents. Following his arrest, he was arraigned at the Dover Police Department. He is now being held at Vision Quest, a juvenile facility, with a bail set at $5,500 secured. The charges against him include possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, multiple counts of possession of a deadly weapon/ammunition by a person prohibited, reckless endangering in the first degree, conspiracy in the second degree, and criminal mischief under $1,000.
Meanwhile, Eugene Johnson was already detained at the Sussex Correctional Institution (SCI) on unrelated charges when he was arraigned for his involvement in the shooting. His charges mirror those of the 17-year-old, highlighting the seriousness of the offenses.
Both individuals face significant legal repercussions as the case progresses through the judicial system.
