NEW ROCHELLE, NY – On Friday, August 2, at approximately 4:12 PM, New Rochelle Police were notified by the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center of a vehicle associated with a recent theft in Greenburgh, parked near Home Depot in New Rochelle.
Police established surveillance around the unoccupied vehicle. Before detectives from Greenburgh could arrive, three suspects entered the vehicle and attempted to leave the area.
New Rochelle officers intercepted the vehicle, finding all three occupants had extraditable warrants from Delaware. The individuals were also involved in a fraudulent transaction at the New Rochelle Home Depot. Visible inside the vehicle were four PlayStation 5 consoles, two Nintendo Switch devices, and other items, totaling $6,359.68 in alleged stolen property.
It was later discovered that the suspects had made another fraudulent purchase at a local GameStop prior to visiting Home Depot.
The suspects, identified as Luis Arellano-Corrales, 31, Monica Cuba-Medina, 38, and Marco Rodriguez-Perez, 58, all from Paterson, NJ, were arrested on local charges and for their outstanding warrants.
They face charges under NYS Penal Law, including two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree and Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, both E felonies, as well as being Fugitives from Justice under NYS Criminal Procedure Law.
