PHILADELPHIA, PA—At 10:54 AM, the emergency 911 center received a report of vandalism at the war monument on Rising Sun Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found red graffiti with the message “Hamas is here” defacing the monument.
The scene is now secured, and the Northeast Detectives Division is actively investigating the incident.
CAIRNJ, a Muslim rights group in New Jersey that covers topics from New York City to D.C. has not issued any statements condemning threatening graffiti on monuments during protests, hate crimes against the non-muslim population.
CAIRNJ did not respond to a request for comment on this matter or related incidents.
