BALTIMORE, MD — A dedicated Keno player from Kingsville celebrated a big win just days before his family’s annual vacation, scoring $30,042 while enjoying a meal and a beer.
The winner, who claimed his prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters on July 30, shared that he was playing his usual seven-spot game for 10 draws with the super bonus feature added at a bar. On July 24, he hit the jackpot when five of his seven chosen numbers came up, followed by the final two he needed, 64 and 55.
“That was unbelievable,” he remarked.
The winner plans to keep his windfall a secret until just before the family departs for their vacation this weekend. He also expressed hopes of winning again on their cruise and mentioned his enjoyment of the suspense Keno offers.
This $30,042 win is his largest to date, surpassing his previous $15,000 Keno win and a $5,000 Pick 4 win.
DeSantis’ Pizza Grill & Bar in Nottingham, where the ticket was purchased, will also benefit from the win, receiving a bonus of $300.42, equal to 1% of the prize.
