MANHATTAN, NY – A physical altercation escalated to a violent incident in Manhattan last Friday, resulting in a young man being slashed. The confrontation began with a verbal dispute between a 55-year-old male and another unidentified male at the southeast corner of East 28th Street and First Avenue at 1:34 PM.
A 23-year-old male attempted to intervene and stop the fight. Although the unidentified male initially fled the scene on foot, he returned shortly afterward and slashed the young intervenor on the neck. After the attack, the assailant once again fled to an unknown location.
The 23-year-old victim managed to get himself to Bellevue Hospital via private means, where he was treated for a neck laceration. The authorities are currently investigating the incident, and the suspect remains at large.
