STATEN ISLAND, NY – In the early hours of Wednesday, police were dispatched to the scene of a shooting at 56 Roxbury Street following a 911 call.
Upon their arrival, authorities discovered two men, both 28, suffering from gunshot injuries. The first victim was found with a critical gunshot wound to the head and additional wounds to both arms, while the second man sustained an injury to his left arm.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) declared the first man, identified as Shamel Massie of 201 Continental Place, dead at the scene. The second victim was promptly transported to Richmond University Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition.
Currently, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the incident, and detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
