WILMINGTON, DE—Delaware State Police have arrested Christopher Crouch, 37, from Wilmington, Delaware, on charges of felony theft following an incident at a local 7-11 store. The arrest comes after a detailed investigation into a theft reported earlier this month.
On July 7, 2024, Crouch, who was employed by the 7-11 located at 4865 Governor Printz Boulevard in Wilmington, allegedly removed over $10,000 from the store’s safe. In a deceptive move, he replaced the stolen cash with approximately 33 counterfeit $100 bills before departing with the genuine money.
The incident was initially reported to the State Police on July 17, 2024, prompting an immediate investigation. The counterfeit bills were recovered, and a warrant was issued for Crouch’s arrest. He surrendered himself to Troop 1 on July 24, 2024, and was subsequently charged with felony theft. Following his arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, Crouch was released on a $500 unsecured bond.
