NORWOOD, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has announced the arrest of Jisun Park, a 40-year-old man from Carrollton, Texas. Park faces multiple charges, including armed robbery, armed burglary, aggravated assault, and illegal possession of a weapon.
This arrest follows a collaborative investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Chief Matthew Finck, and the Norwood Police Department, under Chief Christian Federici.
The incident occurred on Saturday, July 27, at 12:20 PM when Norwood Police responded to a 911 call about an armed home invasion at a residence on Impatiens Way.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a masked intruder had entered the garage, brandishing a handgun at two adults and their children, demanding their belongings and threatening them. The family’s screams apparently frightened the assailant, causing him to flee into a nearby wooded area.
A coordinated response by multiple law enforcement agencies aided the Norwood Police in the search. Park was found hiding in the woods and was apprehended without further incident.
Further investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad led to the recovery of various items used in the crime, including a pellet gun styled like a Glock handgun.
