NEW YORK, NY—A confrontation at the Hunts Point Avenue Subway Station late Monday night resulted in a man being slashed. The incident, which took place on July 22 around 11:30 PM, escalated from a verbal altercation into a violent encounter.
According to police reports, a 30-year-old male was involved in a dispute with an unidentified individual at the subway station. The argument led to the assailant following the victim and slashing his left bicep with a sharp object. Following the attack, the perpetrator fled the scene and has not been apprehended.
Emergency Medical Services responded to the incident, and the victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospital/Lincoln for treatment of minor injuries. The investigation into the attack is ongoing as authorities seek to identify and locate the suspect involved.
