Newark, NJ — The Newark Department of Public Safety is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a carjacking incident that occurred on July 19, 2024.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., a food delivery worker was carjacked while delivering an order to an apartment building in the 900 block of Broad Street. The suspect struck the worker in the back of the head, rendering him unconscious, before stealing a red 2023 Jiajue Moped. The suspect then fled westbound on West Kinney Street and continued onto Vine Street.
