BRONX, NY—An attempted robbery targeting a 15-year-old male occurred on Wednesday afternoon in front of 677 Van Nest Avenue, but no injuries were reported following the incident. The attack took place at approximately 1:30 PM, as three unidentified individuals approached the victim from behind.
The assailants demanded the victim’s belongings and proceeded to punch and kick him multiple times. Despite their efforts, they were unable to obtain any of the victim’s property and subsequently fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on Van Nest Avenue.
Descriptions of the suspects have been provided by the police:
- The first individual is a male with a dark complexion, dreadlocks, and a slim build, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.
- The second suspect is a male with a medium complexion, a beard, and a large build, dressed in a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and gray sneakers.
- The third is a male with a light complexion and an afro, sporting a black t-shirt, gray sweatpants with black knee patches, and black sneakers.
The New York City Police Department has released media depicting the individuals and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward to help ensure community safety.
