TOMS RIVER, NJ — A drug trafficker wanted out of South Carolina has been captured and is in custody at the Jersey Shore.
In 2019, the Horry County Police Department has arrested two men following a significant drug bust near Waccamaw Boulevard. The operation, conducted last week, resulted in the seizure of 58.1 grams of cocaine, 22 grams of marijuana, and $1,654 in cash.
Clement Artis, Jr., 44, of Myrtle Beach, and John Joseph Bianco, 30, of Aynor, werecharged with trafficking cocaine. Artis was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center at approximately 10:15 p.m. on June 26. He was released at 3:50 p.m. the following day after posting a $10,000 bond. Bianco was also booked at 10:15 p.m. on June 26 and was released at 6:30 p.m. on June 27, with his bond set at $25,000.
He never showed up, according to police records.
He was arrested in Ocean County this week and lodged into the Ocean County Jail.
