LAKELAND, FL—A house party in Lakeland resulted in the arrest of ten individuals, including eight juveniles, on Wednesday, following a police investigation into a juvenile probation violation and numerous neighborhood complaints. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported that the arrests occurred at approximately 5:00 PM in the Crystal Lake area after detectives received tips about ongoing disturbances and possible criminal activities at a residence.
The incident traces back to Tuesday when deputies were initially called to investigate vehicle burglaries in the vicinity of Country Club Lane. Residents complained about a rental property managed by Sandra Gross, describing it as a hub for troublesome behavior, particularly involving juveniles. Upon searching the residence, authorities found eight youths, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana.
During the operation, My’Eyeland Johnson attempted to retrieve his nephew from the scene but was arrested for resisting orders to leave the premises. Sandra Gross faces multiple charges, including possession of marijuana, maintaining a drug residence, and being a fugitive from justice in Tennessee. Another youth, Izaih Wiggins, was charged with marijuana possession and multiple probation violations.
Seven other juveniles, aged between 13 and 17, were also apprehended for drug-related offenses and were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center. Sheriff Grady Judd praised local residents for their role in the arrests, highlighting the community’s efforts to report suspicious activities and cooperate with law enforcement to maintain public safety.
