ROYAL OAK, MD — On July 25, at 7:01 a.m., a boat fire occurred at 6499 Bellevue Road, Royal Oak, Talbot County. The incident involved a 1983 15-foot Boston Whaler owned by Gregory Ferenbach. No injuries or deaths were reported.
The estimated loss from the fire, including the vessel and its contents, is $12,000. The boat did not have any smoke alarms, fire alarms, or sprinklers.
The St. Michaels Volunteer Fire Department responded to the incident, with one alarm and six firefighters. The fire was controlled in approximately 45 minutes.
