RUMSON, NJ – It seems like less than a month ago, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy told us President Joe Biden was ‘on fire’ and the future of America.
Today, he is in Washington, D.C. interviewing possibly for a job in the future presidential administration of Vice President Kamala Harris. How politics in the U.S. has changed in the past 30 days and even the last month.
In June, neighborhoods in Middletown were on lockdown for two hours trapped in their homes and not allowed to use their cars, according to some residents, but New Jersey Governor raised $3.7 million at a swank fundraiser at his waterfront mansion.
That travel lockdown lasted from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Murphy described Biden as “America’s comeback kid” and said he is not at all concerned about the president’s cognitively deficient demeanor at Thursday night’s debate with former President Donald J. Trump.
During his speech to wealthy donors at the governor’s estate, Biden said he didn’t fell well Thursday night and did not know what happened on the debate stage, a statement that former President Trump has also noted.
“I don’t know what happened. I didn’t feel that great,” he told his wife Jill.
Mrs. Biden said, “Look, Joe, we are not going to let 90 minutes define the four years that you’ve been president.”
“This is personal for us,” Murphy told the audience.
A photo released by the governor’s office shows Phil Murphy escorting President Joe Biden on the tarmac. In that photo, multiple staffers are seen wearing COVID-19 style facemasks, while dignitaries, including the President, governor, and elected officials, went maskless, despite it being reported that Joe Biden has been ill since Thursday, suffering from a ‘cold.’
This week, President Joe Biden announced, by force of the Democrat party, that he is no longer running for president.
That announcement gave people like Phil Murphy a sigh of relief that they no longer have to support a man who is in mental decline for President.
