BURBANK, CA—Kyle Carrozza, a 45-year-old series creator for Cartoon Network, has been charged with possession of child pornography following a detailed investigation into crimes against children. Carrozza was arrested at his Burbank home on June 20 at 7:30 am after Burbank Police executed a search warrant.
The initial booking included two counts, but the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office ultimately filed a single count upon reviewing the evidence. Over 600 images involving either prepubescent minors or content depicting sexual sadism or masochism involving persons under 18 were allegedly found in his possession.
His credits include Camp Snoopy (2024), Fairly OddParents (2023), Animaniacs, Spongebob, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Fish Hooks, Doc McStuffins, and dozens of other children’s programs.
The arrest, which occurred more than a month ago, only became widely known after the booking reports surfaced on social media, despite no longer being available directly from the police department. Sportsgeeda.com captured and published an image of these reports detailing the specific charges under California penal code 311.11 (c) (1).
The legal repercussions for these charges vary, with potential penalties ranging from one year in county jail to three years in state prison, in addition to a fine that may reach up to $2,500. The investigation remains ongoing, and further details will emerge as the case progresses through the legal system.
His social media accounts have been locked since the news broke.
