NEWARK, NJ — The Newark Fire Division is inviting the community to visit various firehouses during their Open House events. Additionally, the division has scheduled fire hydrant openings for the remaining days of July to provide residents with relief during the hot summer days.
Here are the scheduled dates and locations for the fire hydrant openings:
- July 22, 2024: Brookdale Avenue between Valley Street and 18th Avenue
- July 25, 2024: Cabinet Street between Bergen Street and Littleton Avenue
- July 26, 2024: Fabyan Place between Nye and Hawthorne Avenue
- July 27 and 28, 2024: Johnson Avenue between Clinton Avenue and Stratford Place; 1st Avenue between North 5th Street and 4th Street
- July 29, 2024: Summer Place between May Street and Chester Avenue East
