BRONX, NY — A cellphone theft occurred on Thursday, July 11, at approximately 9:10 AM in front of 774 Allerton Avenue, where a 17-year-old female was targeted by an assailant on a scooter. The thief, approaching from behind, snatched a $1,000 cellphone from the young victim’s hand and quickly fled the scene heading westbound on Allerton Avenue.
The perpetrator is described as a male with a medium complexion. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
Police are actively seeking the individual responsible for this robbery and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the scooter-riding suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the authorities.
