WILKES-BARRE, PA – A domestic dispute in Wilkes-Barre escalated to violence on Wednesday morning, resulting in the arrest of 29-year-old Victor Otero.
The incident occurred at 7:35 a.m. on South Main Street, where city police responded to a call regarding a confrontation at a local residence. Upon arrival, officers were informed by a 30-year-old woman that she had been threatened with a knife by Otero during a heated argument.
The victim stated that during the course of the altercation, the defendant retrieved a kitchen knife and threatened to “slice [her] from ear to ear.”
According to the victim, the altercation intensified when Otero allegedly retrieved a kitchen knife and threatened to harm her severely. Fearing for her safety, she managed to escape the residence and contact authorities. Otero was subsequently arrested and taken to the city police headquarters for processing.
