ATLANTIC CITY, NJ—The Atlantic City Police Department has launched an investigation into multiple cases of animal cruelty involving dogs allegedly abandoned by the same individual at the Atlantic County Humane Society on Absecon Boulevard.
The incidents occurred during the evening hours and have prompted allegations of repeated animal abandonment. The department’s Humane Law Enforcement Officer, Matthew Schmidt, is leading the inquiry.
In a video published by the Atlantic County Humane Society the individual is seen throwing a dog violently over the fence before abandoning it during the night.
