FREEHOLD, NJ – Julie Rizzitello, a former teacher at Wall Township High School, is facing new allegations and additional charges involving another student, as announced by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. Rizzitello, 36, from Brick Township, has been charged with one count of second-degree Sexual Assault and one count of third-degree Witness Tampering.
The investigation, which has been ongoing, involves the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau and Wall Township Police Department, with assistance from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the Brick Township Police Department. It was discovered that Rizzitello’s alleged inappropriate conduct began in 2017 and involved sexual acts with a second victim on multiple occasions in Brick Township.
These findings have led to charges being filed in both Monmouth and Ocean counties. Rizzitello was arrested without incident on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, and is currently held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. She is awaiting a detention hearing scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, in Monmouth County Superior Court before Judge Marc C. Lemieux.
