BALTIMORE, MD – The Baltimore Police Department announced the arrest of a 37-year-old male in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on July 6, 2024. The incident took place around 6:23 p.m. on the 300 block of East Lafayette Avenue.
Responding to a call for an aggravated assault, officers arrived at the scene to find a female victim who reported being robbed and assaulted with a firearm. The assailant, described only as a male, reportedly struck her several times in the face and head before fleeing the area. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital to receive medical treatment for her injuries.
Following an investigation led by detectives, the suspect was positively identified, and a warrant for his arrest was issued. On July 16, 2024, the Warrant Apprehension Task Force, together with the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, successfully apprehended the suspect.
The suspect is currently being processed at the Central Booking Intake Facility. The Baltimore Police Department continues its commitment to addressing violent crimes and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
