Bass River Twp, NJ – The New Jersey Forest Fire Service, in unified command with the New Jersey Air National Guard, is actively managing the Whip-poor-will Wildfire at the Warren Grove Air to Ground Range in Burlington County.
Following overnight rainfall of approximately 0.5 inches, the containment efforts have been aided, but the fire continued through the storm.
Crews continue to improve containment lines today, closely monitoring and addressing hotspots along the fire’s perimeter.
The wildfire, which has grown to 1,167 acres, is now 80% contained. The fire has threatened no structures. This will be the final update for this incident.
