MILTON, DE — The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place near Milton last night, which left a man critically injured. Troopers were called to the scene at Cool Spring Road near Fisher Road around 7:49 PM after a Ford Explorer collided with a utility pole.
Upon arrival, troopers discovered that the 27-year-old driver from Laurel, Delaware, had been shot in the back. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition. The initial investigation indicates that the shooting occurred while the victim was driving on West Springside Drive. The suspect reportedly fired several rounds at the vehicle, striking the driver, which led to the subsequent crash.
Detectives have identified 24-year-old Timmarus Perry of Milton, Delaware, as the suspect in this violent incident. A warrant for Perry’s arrest has been issued, and authorities are actively seeking information regarding his whereabouts.
