Upon claiming his prize at lottery headquarters on Wednesday, Hagerman faced a significant decision regarding the payout of his winnings. He could opt for an annuity of $50,000 annually over 20 years or take a lump sum of $600,000. Hagerman chose the lump sum option, which, after state and federal taxes, amounted to $429,009.
