New York, NY — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying individuals involved in a robbery pattern in the 52nd Precinct. Details of the incidents are as follows:
Incident #1
On Sunday, June 23, at approximately 4:50 PM, two unidentified individuals approached an 11-year-old male victim. One individual pushed the victim off his Citi Bike and took the bike and his cellphone. One suspect fled on foot. Police officers later observed the other individual on the Citi Bike at North Street and Aqueduct Avenue. During an attempted apprehension, a loaded firearm fell from the suspect’s hooded sweatshirt. The suspect fled northbound on University Avenue on the bike. No injuries were reported.
Incident #2
On Sunday, June 23, at approximately 9:50 PM, an unidentified male approached a 21-year-old female from behind, pressed a sharp object against her back, and forcibly took her phone. The suspect fled on foot with the victim’s Android phone, valued at approximately $100. No injuries were reported.
