New Jersey Politicians React to Failed Assassination Attempt on Former President Trump
TOMS RIVER, NJ – Local New Jersey politicians have expressed strong reactions following the failed assassination attempt on former President Donald J. Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Mayor Michael Reina, the Jackson Council, and the Jackson GOP extended their prayers to Trump and the families affected, stating,
“This cowardly act of violence only strengthens our resolve to win in November and take our country back,” said Club President Mordy Burnstein.
Toms River First Ward Councilman Justin Lamb condemned the attack, emphasizing Trump’s resilience. “Being able to walk away, President Donald J. Trump’s projection of strength in spite of being targeted by a committed assassin was a gift from God. He is our nation’s warrior and will never let the dangerous rhetoric of the left and the demonization of the America First movement go unanswered.”
Michael D. Byrne, Chairman of the Montclair Republican County Committee, criticized political opponents and the media, asserting, “They failed to impeach him. They can’t beat him in the polls. They didn’t bankrupt him. They couldn’t convict him in court. There was only one thing left to try. Biden, the Deep State, the Democrat Party, and — above all — the Fake News Media are responsible and must be held accountable on Election Day.”
Mike Crispi, Chairman of the America First Republicans of NJ, highlighted the ongoing challenges Trump has faced, declaring, “President Trump has been under attack since the day he started running for President in 2015. We must stand with President Trump and fight for our country now more than ever. Today’s attack is a stark reminder of how dangerous the left’s hateful rhetoric can be. They tried to beat him with fake news, they tried lawfare, and now they have tried to assassinate him. But President Trump is the fighter we need to save this country and is truly a hero of our generation.”
