BRONX, NY—The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify two suspects involved in a shooting incident in the Bronx. The assault occurred within the 40th Precinct, specifically in front of 371 East 153 Street.
According to police reports, the incident took place on Thursday at approximately 5:49 PM. Following a verbal altercation, two unidentified suspects produced a firearm and fired several shots, hitting a 20-year-old male in the lower left leg. The suspects then fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on Melrose Avenue.
The injured victim was promptly transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln and is reported to be in stable condition. The NYPD has released images of the suspects and is urging anyone with information to come forward to help in identifying and locating these individuals.
